I did the deed.

I submitted my pitch to National Geographic.

National Geographic has been apart of my life since elementary school. Wednesday were my favorite because our class got to go to the library. The Librarian was well aware of my obsession with Nat Geo Kids, and would specifically hold the new issue for me.

To even be in a position to pitch an idea to National Geographic is a life high light.

January 10th, 2022 I have a one way ticket to Cusco (Cuzco) Peru. My goal is to spend 10 days in the Amazon Rainforest completely submerged in the jungle as I study the natural habitat of butterflies.

In order for me to reach my goal, I have to start at ground Zero. I am an engineer by trait but an Adventurer by soul. I want to learn why Cusco Peru holds more than 20% of the worlds butterfly population. For me, there’s no better way to learn than diving right in and experiencing life first hand.
